It is the most common reading disability, but many times is undiagnosed and untreated. It does not discriminate between race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status, but the good news is that people with dyslexia can learn to read and spell. Course participants will familiarize themselves with the definition, causes, symptoms and early detection of dyslexia. They will listen to personal experiences of people with dyslexia. Explore the Orton-Gillingham Multisensory Reading methodology and discover reading and spelling techniques and programs that remediate students of all ages.Professional Development 2021 - 2022
