All SCOPE Child Care programs are licensed by the New York State Office of Children & Family Services and are operated in public schools on Long Island.
SCOPE Day Care programs provide a safe, fun, caring environment for the children of school district employees.
Our Pre-Kindergarten program provides students with opportunities for exploration, play and discovery that builds on children's social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth.
In this ongoing playing and narrating club, the players will learn how to play Dungeons & Dragons, create heroic characters and live out their adventures, and learn a bit about writing, math, art, and life along the way. This club involves reading, math, imagination and creative thinking. Students will role play along the way to creating an epic adventure. Beware, this club is not for the faint of heart.
Are you ready to take your chess skills to the next level? Or are you a beginner ready to learn the game of chess for the first time? Either way, this class is for you! Each chess academy session is structured by starting off with a lesson on chess pieces, strategy, skills, gambits and plays, followed by tournament style games. Students will compete in an in-house competition and no elimination tournament. Students will increase their knowledge of the game and have a great time with their friends!
