All SCOPE Child Care programs are licensed by the New York State Office of Children & Family Services and are operated in public schools on Long Island.
SCOPE Day Care programs provide a safe, fun, caring environment for the children of school district employees.
Our Pre-Kindergarten program provides students with opportunities for exploration, play and discovery that builds on children's social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth.
Melody Makers* (Piano/Uke) - students entering grades 2-9
Want to learn to play PIANO and some fun songs on UKULELE? This course is for students with little to no piano training. Students will learn note reading as well as how to improve upon their playing using dynamic and articulation markings. Students will use electric keyboards in the music lab so that each student may progress at their own pace. All participants will learn how to play several traditional and popular songs on their Ukuleles. There will be some singing, hand percussion and a lot of Ukulele-ing in this exciting class!
